Treasure: Group Show at AOT, Big Talent, Intimate Scale

This December AOT is proud to present a special group exhibition of hand-selected work by some of the gallery’s favorite artists. Included are Melanie Boone, Lisa Gilley, Carrie Goller, Anne Grgich, Stephanie Johnson, Joan Jonland, Counsel Langley, Deedra Ludwig, Kay Marshall, Jeane Myers and many more. For Treasure, these artists have focused their local and nationally recognized talents to create new works on an intimate scale.

Plus, AOT’s immensely skilled and inventive silversmith, Tom Walden, unveils a new series of sculpture, functional objects, and jewelry made specifically for the gallery and the holiday season. Walden has been with Artisans on Taylor for six years and has developed a devoted following. His new works show his technical prowess and surprise and delight the viewer’s imagination.

Treasure opens amidst the sparkle and warmth that defines Port Townsend during the holidays. Join us Saturday, December 6th, immediately following Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony! The opening reception is an opportunity to meet the artists, celebrate with friends, and enjoy roasted chestnuts, an AOT tradition.

Treasure runs the duration of the holiday season and will keep the feeling going through the end of January. New work will continue to be added throughout the run of the show. Inspired by the concept that “access to the arts is intrinsic to high quality of life” AOT offers hand-crafted, original arts and crafts with prices ranging from $5 - $500. So, you can be certain about what you give. Also, allow yourself to dream a little and sign up on the AOT Wish List, letting everyone know your heart’s desire.
